Current Projects - Spring, '97
Rochanda Project - Morgan State University

During the school semester life is pretty hectic and most work is
performed by students in doing their senior projects. But, each Friday,
when the Lab quiets down undergraduate students Towanda and Paul and
myself sit down to accomplish something and we leave the Lab at midnight.
During the summer, several undergraduate students and myself work on
various projects on a full time basis.
The following are my goals for the Spring, '97 semester. When something
is in useful form, it will be put on the Web.
- Use of a PC or Basic Stamp to Control Hot Water Zoned Heating.
- Use of the Dallas Semiconductor 1620 and 1820 Smart Thermostats.
- Interfacing a Basic Stamp II with 32K EEPROM for Data Logging.
- Nonobtrusive Current Measurement.
- Data Transmission over Twisted Pair without Modems.
- Data Transmission using Holtek Encoder / Decoders.
- Motor Control Using L293D Dual H Bridge.
- Use of Digital and Analog Hall Effect Devices.
- Use of LTC 5V/12V DC to DC Boost Converters.
- Use of LTC 12-bit A/D and D/A (Serial).
- How to Measure pH.
