The Kiwi Patch Board is nice desgn from KEI in New Zealand. It is layed out in the same manner as a 170 point solderless breadboard and also includes a 5VDC regulated supply and PICAXE download circuit. The idea is, get your design working on a breadboard and then make it permanent.
The patch board is 3-1/2 inches X 1-3/4 inches with holes on 3-1/4 by 1-1/2 inch centers and may conveniently installed in a Hammond box.
Fig 2. Note that the center screw connector is connected to the 4-hole pad GHIJ. This may be used to bring one lead off the board.
Fig 2. The schematic shows both X1 and X2 connected to +5 VDC and Y1 and Y2 connected to +5 VDC. In my assembled version, I did not use X2 and Y2.
Fig 5. The center terminal of the screw connector is shown with a series 10K resistor, a shunt capacitor and connected to terminal 5 of a PICAXE-08M. This is onlyy an example of how the center terminal may be used. It isn't physically implemented on the assembled version.
Fig 6. The resistors shown use a four band color code. The resistors I use are the more common three band. 330 - Orange, Orange, Brown, 10K - Brown, Black, Orange, 22K - Red, Red, Orange.
Fig 6. The statement regarding rail Z1 is incorrect. Power the PICAXE using a strap from X1 to A22.
Fig 7. This has many errors with a red and a black straps which do not agree with the rest of the document.
Fig 9. Same.
Assembly Details See photo.

Other
P1 - Rev Ed 3.5 mm Stereo Connector.
P2 - 2X5 header. This may be used to bring leads off the board.
T1 T2 T3 - three terminal screw connector.
C1, C2 - 0.01 uFd capacitor.
C3 - 220 uFd electrolytic capacitor. Orient with minus on capacitor away from + sign on silkscreen.
