(Apr 16, '10). PIC16F1827
Received Microchip AC164112 Voltage Limiter from Digikey ($10.00). Was pleasantly surprised to find that I can now use the ICD2 for debugging. My configuration settings.

Developing sample routines for the PIC16F1827 Enhanced PIC using CCS C.
The PIC16F1826 / 1827 requires a Vpp of 8.0 - 9.0 VDC and it appears that most development tools provide nominally +12 VDC. I have used the ICD2 with a zener diode limiting circuit on PIC terminal 4 to program an 1827. But, I have not been able to use the ICD 2 as a debugger. A little clunky for development and for programming 100 devices in a sitting. But, it is workable.
As I move along, I will post routines.
